GAIN Performance - Senior SEO Consultant

Business Unit: Performance – We help brands show up in the right place, at the right time, to the right people, with data‑driven campaigns.

Team: SEO

Reporting to: Head of Enterprise SEO

Location: This is a hybrid role based from our Barcelona, Spain office.

The role: The Senior SEO Consultant will lead and drive organic campaigns for a range of clients across different industries. They will collaborate with passionate teammates to deliver success and lead by example for other SEO team members. The role requires teamwork, problem solving, and the ability to give and take feedback. Success is measured by quality, consistency, and strategic delivery of SEO solutions for enterprise clients. The Senior SEO Consultant will take ownership of actions, deadlines, and the value of work delivered, ensuring proactive communication internally and externally.

Responsibilities

- Take full ownership of enterprise‑level SEO campaigns, from initial strategy development to seamless implementation and reporting on results.
- Maintain a strong focus and understanding of technical SEO to enhance performance.
- Foster day‑to‑day client relationships through in‑person meetings, regular conference calls, and engaging presentations.
- Aspire to exceed client expectations and performance goals.
- Maintain up‑to‑date understanding of what it takes to drive organic success and apply this to deliver meaningful business growth.
- Employ a creative mindset, testing, figuring out complex issues, and continuously improving.
- Act as a pillar of knowledge and support for both the team and the wider department.

Requirements

- Demonstrated expertise in SEO with a minimum of 5+ years of experience.
- Exceptional attention to detail and adept multitasking abilities within deadline‑driven environments.
- Profound and up‑to‑date knowledge of Search Engine Optimisation tactics.
- Proficiency in Google Analytics, Google Search Console (experience with Looker Studio and PowerBI is desirable).
- Outstanding verbal, written, and presentation skills.
- Strong organisational and project management capabilities.
- A sense of humour, boundless enthusiasm, self‑motivation, and unwavering passion for excellence.
- Experience leading SEO on integral brands, particularly in Finance, is advantageous.
