Job Purpose
Flight dispatchers perform all necessary flight planning for the safe operation of flights and supervise the flight throughout the journey. They ensure aircraft are prepared efficiently and use various tools and systems to maintain contact with the aircraft and service providers.
Main Responsibilities
1. Prepare flight dispatch documentation.
2. Share responsibility with the captain for flight safety and operational control.
3. Analyze meteorological data to identify hazards and select optimal routes, including evaluation of weather at departure, arrival, enroute, and alternate airports.
4. Prepare comprehensive flight plans with relevant information for safe flight completion.
5. Update pilots on weather or plan changes and suggest alternatives for safety and efficiency.
6. Delay or cancel flights if safety is compromised.
7. Calculate fuel requirements based on aircraft type, distance, weather, and regulations.
8. Review aircraft weight, cargo, and fuel loads.
9. Monitor flight progress and post-ground activities to ensure compliance with procedures.
10. Coordinate with air traffic control, safety departments, and other agencies.
11. Provide dispatch and planning services to management according to policies.
Main Relationships
Flight Dispatchers report to the OCC Manager within the Flight Operations Department.
Qualifications
* Bachelor's degree.
* Minimum of 2 years as an ETOPS dispatcher is mandatory.

Additional Information
The office is located at LEVEL's OCC in Barcelona. The role requires flexible working hours and shift work, including 12-hour rotating shifts covering 24 hours.
