Job Description
We are looking for an experienced DevOps Consultant to join our team and help our customers design, implement, and optimize their DevOps infrastructure. This role requires a mix of technical expertise, consulting skills, and adaptability, as you will work closely with both internal teams and clients to develop robust and scalable solutions.
* Role: DevOps Specialist
* Location: Hybrid – based in Sant Cugat, Barcelona (Spain), with office presence and potential on-site customer visits. The rest of the dedication can be done remotely.
* International Travel: 3-4 trips per year to client facilities (abroad)
* Salary: Up to €60.000/year (negotiable based on technical & soft skills, with potential for higher compensation).
Key Responsibilities
* Design, deploy, and manage scalable, secure, and cost-efficient AWS environments.
* Implement cloud best practices to ensure high availability, security, and performance.
2. Infrastructure as Code (IaC):
* Develop and maintain infrastructure using Terraform.
* Automate provisioning and management of resources to ensure consistency and repeatability.
3. Container Orchestration:
* Deploy, manage, and optimize containerized applications on Kubernetes clusters.
* Monitor and troubleshoot Kubernetes environments to ensure smooth operation.
* Work closely with development, QA, and product owner teams to streamline the software development lifecycle.
* Implement and maintain CI/CD pipelines to support agile practices and rapid deployments.
* Establish robust monitoring, logging, and alerting systems.
* Participate in on-call rotations, diagnose production issues, and implement effective solutions.
4. Process Improvement:
* Identify opportunities for automation and process enhancements.
* Stay updated on industry trends and emerging technologies to continuously improve our DevOps practices.
5. Security Compliance
* Implement secure DevOps practices, ensuring compliance with industry standards and security best practices.
Mandatory Qualifications
The candidate must prove the following qualifications.
1. Technical Expertise:
* Proven experience with AWS services (or equivalent cloud platforms).
* Strong understanding of Infrastructure Architectures and Infrastructure as Code (IaC).
* Proficiency with Kubernetes & Container Technologies
* Proven experience in Production Environment Support.
* Strong understanding of network and network protocols
* Software Development experience
* Basic understanding of Zero Trust security frameworks.
* Hands-on experience with OIDC/OAuth2 authentication mechanisms.
2. Soft Skills
* Ability to effectively convey complex technical details to various stakeholders.
* Strong problem-solving skills and ability to handle high-pressure situations.
* Strong planning and organizational skills for managing complex projects and deadlines.
3. Professional Experience (At least one of the following is required)
* 3+ years of experience as a DevOps Engineer.
* 3+ years of experience as an SRE Engineer.
* 4+ years of experience as a Fullstack Software Developer.
* 5+ years of experience as a Backend Software Developer.
Preferred Qualifications
The following qualifications are not mandatory, but it will be highly valued
1. Certifications
* AWS Certified Solutions Arquitect (or equivalent in a different Provider)
2. Technical Expertise
* Proficiency in scripting languages (e.g., Bash, Python).
* Profound understanding of Linux/Unix systems
* Pentesting or Cybersecurity knowledge
* Experience in monitoring and logging tools (Grafana Stack)
3. Soft Skills
* Strong negotiation skill to engage with customers and stakeholders effectively.
