Director of Equity, Inclusion and Belonging (EIB) at Iberostar

At Iberostar, we are seeking a Director of Equity, Inclusion and Belonging (EIB) to join our Global People (HR) team. Before details about the position, here's a brief about us:

We need an experienced and strategic EIB Director to lead initiatives fostering a diverse, inclusive, and engaged workforce. Reporting to the Chief People Officer and collaborating with Communications, Sustainability, and Talent departments, your main mission will be to create an environment where every team member feels connected, valued, and motivated. This role requires a visionary leader with expertise in Inclusion, Equity, and Belonging best practices and a strong understanding of employee engagement strategies across a diverse and multinational workforce.

Location: Palma de Mallorca, Spain.


Key Responsibilities:

1. Strategy Development: Design and implement an integrated EIB strategy aligned with company goals, partnering with senior leadership and regional HR managers to establish priorities and track progress using metrics and reports.
2. Culture & Inclusion: Foster a culture embracing diversity, promoting equity, and fostering belonging; identify and address barriers within processes and policies.
3. Training & Development: Lead EIB-related training programs, including inclusive leadership and anti-bias sessions; work with L&D teams to embed EIB principles into talent development.
4. Employee Feedback & Advocacy: Gather feedback via surveys and focus groups; serve as an advocate for employees, addressing concerns to create a supportive workplace.
5. Community Engagement: Build external relationships with organizations supporting EIB objectives; represent Iberostar in industry forums and panels.


Ideal Candidate:

* Visionary Leadership with ability to communicate a compelling EIB vision.
* Empathy & Emotional Intelligence to address employee needs compassionately.
* Cultural Competency to work effectively with diverse backgrounds.
* Change Management experience in organizational change and gaining buy-in.
* Analytical Skills to use data and feedback for strategy improvement.

Qualifications: Proven success in developing EIB programs, strategic planning, excellent communication skills, proficiency in data analysis, fluency in English and Spanish, and willingness to travel.
