The Role:
We are looking for a passionate Junior Legal Counsel responsible in France as part of the growing European Legal & Compliance Team in a highly dynamic and international environment. The position will be based in Boulogne-Billancourt, France.
You will support the business of Xiaomi with your proven expertise and pragmatic, business oriented and pro-active advice.
Given the range of Xiaomi's business, the position will include all fields of Law and you will be required to step out of the comfort zone in a startup-like environment.
The offered Position is a great opportunity to manage the region with autonomy and to contribute to Xiaomi’s expansion in the local market.
The position will include the following tasks:
1. Legal Advice and Research on Laws and Regulations.
2. Draft, Review and Negotiate a wide variety of national and international contracts.
3. Drafting of Guidelines, Policies and Templates.
4. Review of Marketing Material and Marketing Campaigns.
5. Communication with Regulatory Authorities.
6. Coordination of disputes and claims, including managing external counsels.
7. Support in promoting the Compliance Program.
8. Support and advice to the finance, tax, sales and HR department.
9. Liaise with the HQ Legal Team.
10. Assist in the further development of the Legal & Compliance Department.
Candidate Profile:
Mandatory qualifications:
1. French Law Qualification with at least 2 years PQE.
2. Fluent in French (native) and English.
3. Strong commercial sense and pragmatism.
4. Being able to prioritize and handle tight deadlines.
Candidates without the above mandatory qualification and proven experience/expertise cannot be considered.
Nice to have but not mandatory:
1. Prior experience within our industry:.
2. Any other language skills like but not limited to Italian, Dutch or Chinese.
Please note that this is not a remote (Home Office) position and the candidate must be willing to come to the office on a daily basis.
