Thales Sistemas in Spain specializes in Command and Control systems, Tactical Communications, and Modeling and Simulation for Defence and Security. Based in Leganés, our team of over 100 engineers works on activities such as:
* Communications and Information Systems supporting Command functions and Decision Making
* Embedded electronics for military aircraft
* Tactical Communications
* Radio Navigation Aids for air traffic
We are currently seeking a Project Manager focused on Defence & Aeronautics Projects for national and international clients.
What will you do?
* Manage and monitor project execution in Defence and Aeronautics from start to customer acceptance.
* Negotiate scope or planning changes internally and with clients.
* Plan tasks, lead teams, and manage resources to meet milestones.
* Report on project status, risks, and issues in meetings.
* Monitor financials and forecast future trends.
* Coordinate multidisciplinary teams.
* Lead project status meetings with clients and internal teams.
* Manage risks and opportunities.
* Ensure quality standards, security requirements, and sector standards, including military standards, are met.
* Contribute to developing innovative solutions for complex problems, fostering continuous development.
To do this, you should have…
* An engineering bachelor’s degree or equivalent in telecom, aeronautics, naval, or industrial engineering.
* More than 3 years of experience in customer interaction.
* Experience in managing multidisciplinary projects.
* Leadership, communication, and conflict resolution skills.
* Proficiency in English and Spanish (oral and written).
* Availability to travel nationally and internationally, mainly within Europe.
Valued qualifications include:
* Master’s degree in aeronautics, defense, or related fields.
* Experience in the defence or aeronautics sectors.
* Project Management certifications (IPMA C, PMI, PRINCE2, or PM2).
* Knowledge of planning tools like EPM or PRIMAVERA.
* French language skills (oral and written).
