Data Technical ManagerCognizant DATA AI is seeking an experienced and strategic Data Technical Manager to lead our data initiatives, oversee our cloud data infrastructure, and manage cross-functional data projects. In this role, you will be the bridge between technical execution and business strategy. You will own the end-to-end delivery of data solutions utilizing Snowflake, AWS, and Azure, while applying strong Project Management methodologies to ensure projects are delivered on time, within scope, and aligned with business objectives.Key ResponsibilitiesData Strategy Cloud Architecture
* Technical Leadership: Guide the data engineering and analytics teams in designing scalable data pipelines, ETL/ELT processes, and data modeling best practices.
* Vendor Resource Management: Manage relationships with cloud service providers and evaluate new tools to enhance the modern data stack.
Project Team Management
* End-to-End Project Delivery: Act as the primary project manager for all data initiatives, leading projects from initial scoping and requirement gathering to deployment and maintenance.
* Stakeholder Communication: Translate complex technical data concepts into actionable business insights for non-technical stakeholders and executive leadership.
* Resource Allocation: Manage project timelines, assign tasks to data engineers and analysts, and mitigate risks or roadblocks during the project lifecycle.
Required Qualifications
* Experience: 8+ years of experience in data management, data engineering, or a closely related technical field, with at least 2+ years in a leadership or project management role.
* Cloud Platforms: Proven hands-on experience managing data ecosystems within AWS (e.g., S3, Glue, RDS) and Microsoft Azure (e.g., Data Factory, Synapse, Blob Storage).
* Data Warehousing: Deep expertise in Snowflake/Databricks architecture, compute optimization, role-based access control (RBAC), and data sharing.
* Languages: Proficiency in SQL and a strong understanding of Python or other scripting languages used in data engineering.
Preferred Qualifications
* Certifications in AWS, Azure, or Google
* Experience with BI/Visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI, Looker).
