Overview We are seeking a dynamic and proactive Learning and Communication Specialist to support the Health, Safety, Environment (HSE) and Sustainability function within the Grid Integration business unit. This role is pivotal in driving awareness, engagement, and capability-building across the organization through impactful learning programs and strategic communication initiatives.Responsibilities Learning & Development Design, implement, and manage HSE and sustainability learning programs tailored to various roles and geographies.Communication & Engagement Develop and execute internal communication strategies to promote HSE and sustainability culture.Create compelling content for newsletters, intranet, videos, campaigns, and leadership briefings.Coordinate global and regional awareness events (e.g., Safety Week, Earth Day).Ensure alignment of messaging with corporate and BU-level strategies.Collaboration & Stakeholder Management Work closely with HSE, Sustainability, HR, and Communications teams across regions.Act as a liaison between BU Grid Integration and corporate functions to ensure consistency and visibility.Support change management initiatives related to HSE and sustainability.Field Feedback & Impact Assessment Conduct interviews or surveys with site personnel.Review incident reports and audit findings for training relevance.Host feedback sessions with regional HSE champions.Integrate insights into future training and communication strategies.Measurement & Reporting Track and report on learning participation, communication reach, and engagement metrics.Contribute to internal and external sustainability reporting as needed.Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Communications, Environmental Science, Organizational Development, or related field.3+ years of experience in corporate learning, internal communications, or sustainability/HSE-related roles.Strong writing, storytelling, and visual communication skills.Experience with digital learning platforms and content creation tools.Ability to manage multiple projects and stakeholders in a global matrix organization.Fluent in English; other languages (e.g., German) are a plus.Hitachi Energy is a global technology leader in electrification, powering a sustainable energy future through innovative power grid technologies with digital at the core.
