SEK El Castillo is seeking to hire a PYP & MYP French Teacher.

FUNCTIONS:
- Plan, prepare, develop, and deliver French courses in accordance with school curriculum guidelines, school requirements, IB programs, and LOMLOE requirements.
- Utilize relevant technology to support instruction.
- Collaborate with other teachers to review, develop, and write new vertical and horizontal curriculum documents, assessments, and reports.
- Keep abreast of international developments in the field and in practice and methodology.
- Observe, monitor, and evaluate student learning and progress.
- Prepare assessment tasks, tests, homework, and other projects.
- Model classroom inquiry practice and the IB learner profile.
- Differentiate courses of study and lessons to meet the individual needs of diverse students based on their academic ability and prior achievement.
- Maintain accurate and complete records of students' academic progress and achievement.
- Communicate student progress and evaluations to tutors and/or families.
- Maintain good student behavior in the classroom and on school premises according to school disciplinary policies.
- Prepare the classroom environment and maintain a safe, secure, and stimulating learning environment.
- Participate in meetings, professional development opportunities, and other school and institutional events.
- Be willing to participate in, cooperate with, and possibly lead other initiatives in the school related to the development of school culture, student leadership, and the promotion of school values, such as projects, field trips, events, and pastoral care of students, as a way to effectively meet the personal, social (welfare), and academic needs of students and staff.
**REQUIREMENTS**:
- Bachelor's degree in French Philology, Interpretation and Translation, or similar.
- Accepted teacher certification (Secundary/Bach Master’s degree).
- Experience as a French teacher.
- Desirable, experience in international contexts.
- French Proficiency C2, or equivalent
- Desirable: Spanish and/or English speaking
