AIRBUS is offering more than 70 full‑time graduate program vacancies in Spain for the #Discover II 2026/2027 program, starting 5th October 2026 and concluding 1st October 2027. The selection process runs from April 2026 to July 2026. Recent graduates from diverse disciplines are invited to join.
Program Overview
The program is an exclusive partnership with Camilo José Cela University, combining a Master’s taught in three training blocks with an 11‑month internship at Airbus in a field aligned with your degree. The internship is full‑time (40 h/week), early October 2026 start, full‑time 11 months, and includes an attractive study grant.
Internship Tasks
* Conduct periodic analysis and benchmarking of emerging AI tools and libraries relevant to mission planning.
* Design and develop AI models to identify and classify anomalous maritime behaviors and threats.
* Apply Explainable AI (xAI) techniques to provide transparency to black‑box predictive models.
* Research and implement algorithms for synthetic data generation to train and validate AI models.
* Integrate developed AI solutions into existing mission system software architectures.
* Design and produce technical documentation supporting development.
* Collaborate with the Mission Planner Development team on R&D initiatives to enhance maritime surveillance and mission management systems.
Knowledge & Skills to be Acquired
* Deep understanding of the functional and technical environment of Airbus Mission Planners.
* Practical experience applying Deep Learning and Reinforcement Learning to real‑world defense scenarios.
* Specialized knowledge in anomaly detection for maritime data.
* Mastery of Explainable AI (xAI) techniques for validating complex AI models.
* Professional standards for integrating research‑based solutions into production‑ready software.
* Experience with Python, Keras, TensorFlow, PyTorch, and Scikit‑learn; knowledge of supervised/unsupervised learning, anomaly detection algorithms, and synthetic data generators.
* Version control (Git) and integration within mission system architectures.
* Black‑box modeling and xAI methodology compliance.
Required Skills
* Degree in Software Engineering or Computer Science.
* B2 level English proficiency.
* General knowledge in Machine Learning and AI Engineering.
* Strong background in Calculus and Linear Algebra.
* Analytical and problem‑solving skills.
* Team spirit and excellent collaboration abilities.
* Ability to work in complex, international environments.
