Product Analyst – Local Analytics Hub
Johnson & Johnson Innovative Medicine (J&J IM), a pharmaceutical company of Johnson & Johnson, is recruiting a Product Analyst to support our EMEA Local Analytics Hub located in Madrid (Spain), Lisbon (Portugal), or Milan (Italy).
Our EMEA Local Analytics Hub partners with regional business commercial teams to manage the technical delivery of data & analytics solutions that address local business needs across EMEA countries (e.g., business intelligence solutions, data visualization, reporting, data management). This role translates business requirements into analytics solutions, working closely with commercial Business Owners, BI teams, Engineers/Developers and other cross‑functional partners.
Responsibilities
* Understand user needs and gather requirements to translate them into detailed requirements for the squad.
* Build use cases, write, manage and clarify user stories, visualizations, and process flows.
* Explain how requirements may be implemented from a functional standpoint and drive/improve user experience.
* Stay 2‑3 sprints ahead of the squad and ensure each feature has a clear definition of done and readiness to enter sprint.
* Communicate vision to developers and testers.
* Help write UAT scripts and participate in User Acceptance Testing as needed.
* Document confirmed business processes to serve as reference for development and IT support.
* Apply business process improvement methods for optimization.
* Maintain a solid understanding of business needs, processes, value drivers, and industry trends; partner with the Product Owner to align squad backlog priorities.
* Track metrics and build reports to measure progress.
* Manage dependencies with other squads, working closely with Technical Product Owners, Product Analyst peers, and the TPM.
* Apply compliance requirements, ensuring SDLC documentation, system configuration, and compliance activities are up to date.
* Understand the portfolio of IT systems that the business uses; may specialize in specific applications and hold deep product/BPM expertise.

* Experience collecting requirements and translating them into a product vision by applying expertise in product development, engineering, and UX.
* Understanding of business/processes and high‑quality data and analytics product delivery.
* Experience managing a product backlog/release plan, tracking team‑level metrics, attending product team ceremonies, and removing blockers.
* Strong problem‑solving skills with the ability to analyze situations and reach decisions based on informed judgment and business value.
* Foster a culture that relentlessly focuses on effective communication and collaboration across teams, building empathy and influencing stakeholders.
* Adaptability and continuous learning, curiosity, and willingness to learn new tools and approaches in a fast‑paced data and insights industry.

Qualifications
* Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Engineering, Business Analytics or other relevant disciplines, or equivalent by experience.
* More than 3 years of experience in designing, delivering, and supporting digital analytics solutions – from both front‑end and back‑end perspectives.
* Experience with business intelligence reporting and data visualization tools (e.g., QlikSense/QlikCloud, Microsoft PowerBI) and data management (e.g., Snowflake) – required.
* Experience in Agile delivery and software tools (e.g., JIRA) is a plus.
* Experience in advanced analytics tools (e.g., Dataiku) and languages (e.g., Python, SQL) is a plus.
* Curiosity in advanced data & analytics innovative technologies and approaches (e.g., unstructured data, artificial intelligence, machine learning) is a plus.
* Experience in the healthcare industry is a plus.
* Familiar with common EU regulations around data privacy and security.
* Strong English verbal and written communication skills, including presentation skills – required.
