As an Account Manager, you are expected to be fluent in Japanese and preferably well‐versed in Japanese business etiquette, as you will directly support vendors in the JP retail market. You will serve vendors and manage aspects of their businesses on the Amazon platform. Through in-depth data analysis and market trend insights, you will assist vendors in developing practical and effective business strategies, driving business growth, and achieving revenue goals, while continually optimizing key manufacturers' overall performance on the Amazon platform.
Your core responsibilities include day‐to‐day communication with vendors, strategy formulation, business reporting, and relationship maintenance to ensure vendor needs are promptly addressed, solutions are efficiently executed, and long‐term stable cooperation is achieved.
Key job responsibilities
Continuously monitor daily operational data, proactively identify potential risks, ensure effective execution of strategies, and make timely adjustments as necessary to maintain smooth business operations.
Based on data, propose feasible optimization solutions to improve vendor performance in supply chain efficiency, traffic acquisition, conversion rates, etc., thereby driving overall sales growth.
Maintain frequent, high‐quality communication with vendors, deeply understand their business needs and concerns, ensure issues are promptly responded to and effectively resolved, and build strong trust and collaborative relationships.
Provide regular professional and systematic business reports to vendors, clearly communicate goal progress based on quantifiable data, outline future strategic directions and key initiatives, and analyze the core reasons and business implications behind the data.
Work with vendors to define and achieve business targets.
Provide weekly reports to relevant internal teams to ensure transparency and promote cross‐team collaboration.
Collaborate closely with internal functional teams, actively coordinate resources, and secure necessary support to help vendors achieve sustainable business growth.
Basic qualifications
Bachelor's degree or equivalent business‐school education.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills in Japanese; good written English skills.
Strong presentation and communication abilities, able to express thoughts logically and succinctly; excellent listening skills, highly consultative and solutions‐oriented.
Data analysis skills — ability to collect, clean, interpret, challenge, and analyze data and provide actionable solutions; demonstrated ability to manage business operations.
Influencing and metrics‐management skills — ability to understand business metrics and create realistic forecasts; strong negotiation skills.
Ability to operate independently in a fast‐paced, sometimes ambiguous environment, with full responsibility for achieving business goals.
Ability to develop original ideas, approaches, and solutions for typical and complex issues.
Ability to work collaboratively within teams, focusing on delivering high‐quality results.
Proficient in Microsoft Office applications (Excel, Outlook, Word) and content‐management systems; quick to learn and use new tools and systems.

Preferred qualifications
At least 3 years of relevant experience, with experience as an Account Manager preferred.
Study experience in Japan preferred.
Experience working in a Japanese local company preferred.
Knowledge of SQL and Python preferred.
