Overview
As a Senior Internal Auditor, you will contribute to delivering high-quality and impactful audit engagements in Spain, working closely with audit team members across Group Audit in a collaborative and supportive team environment. This is a temporary position based in Madrid or Barcelona.
Responsibilities
* Deliver high-quality audits: Participate across all aspects of the audit lifecycle, including planning, scoping, key risk assessment, design and operational effectiveness testing, and reporting. Support the delivery of audits to exceptional quality, on time and with impact.
* Understand the business and its risks: Develop a deep understanding of the business, its processes, and key risks. Apply this knowledge to co-develop robust, high-quality audit approaches.
* Produce insightful reporting: Contribute to drafting clear and impactful issue summaries and audit reporting that provide valuable insights and influence stakeholders in Spain.
* Build strong stakeholder relationships: Build and maintain constructive, professional relationships with stakeholders throughout the audit process.
* Collaborate globally “AsOne”: Work closely with audit team members across Group Audit and with colleagues at all levels to achieve the best possible audit outcomes.
* Uphold ethics and integrity: Uphold and model the highest standards of ethics and integrity, ensuring compliance with all relevant standards, regulations, and internal policies.
* Foster a collaborative team environment: Actively support a positive, inclusive, and collaborative team culture throughout this temporary assignment.
How do you know you fit in?
Relevant bachelor’s or master’s degree, or an equivalent professional qualification. Minimum 4+ years of relevant experience within Internal Audit. Experience working in complex, fast-paced, and international organizations. Solid understanding of audit methodology, Internal Audit Standards, and internal control frameworks (preferred). Good understanding of the insurance business will be considered a strong plus. Strong project management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively and consistently deliver high-quality outcomes on time. Fluent English, both written and spoken.
