Amazon is looking for experienced Logistics Specialist/Analyst for this Amazon Global Logistics (AGL) new team. AGL is dedicated to building, managing and operating a integral logistics network that enables selection from anywhere in the world and delivers customer orders to anywhere in the world, cost effectively. The local EU team is responsible for the performance of our carriers, related to international transportation of inbound shipments for Sellers. The EU team collaborates with the AGL and Fulfillment By Amazon (FBA) teams worldwide to develop capabilities, products and carrier strategies that improve offerings for Sellers and expand services. The EU team also works with the local Transportation and Operations team to leverage existing agreements, assets and capabilities to strengthen our product offering and extend reach to customers globally. The EU team will have access to AGL teams globally (India, US, Japan, Singapore, Australia, Brazil and China) to link Origin capabilities with Destination needs, reducing transportation and shipping costs and improving on-time and in-full performance and delivery promise.
A Logistics Specialist/Analyst facilitates flow of information between stakeholders (Logistics Service Providers / Sellers / Customs / Product Managers / Supply Chain) and resolves issues affecting Seller Experience and delivery performance. Provides timely resolution by researching internal tools, making real-time decisions, and communicating effectively with stakeholders (phone or email).
Responsibilities
- Conduct deep dive analysis of performance combining internal and external data sources
- Systematically resolve problems with data integrity and follow through on resolutions to ensure they are delivered
- Quickly understand the business impact of trends and make data-driven decisions
- Prioritize, optimize and deliver timely updates for all key metrics
- Graphically visualize data to enable easy access to large data sets for a broad audience
- Develop automation solutions for reports, tools and processes
- Deliver operational improvements using a data-driven approach to root cause analysis and solution design
- Continual, tactical communication with external customers (Carriers, Vendors/Suppliers) and internal customers (FBA, Finance, Software Support, Fulfillment Centers)
- Work within various time constraints to meet critical business needs, while measuring and identifying activities performed
Basic Qualifications
- Bachelors degree in Business, Economics, Logistics, Mathematics or similar field
- Experience in an operational environment with proven ability to thoroughly understand processes, identify improvement opportunities, and drive change
- Fluent in English (written and verbal communication)
- Working knowledge of data and analytics, business intelligence
Preferred Qualifications
- A Master degree in Business, Economics, Logistics, Mathematics or similar field
- Performance Management experience
- Knowledge of Lean/Six Sigma tool set
- Project management experience
- Skills in SQL, ETL, Data Warehouse solutions and databases. Minitab/Jump/Tableau/SQL Workbench
