Job Responsibilities
* Manage complex projects/programs with multiple targets, including phase II and phase III, and an annual budget exceeding 10M EUR.
* Coordinate with the Project Leader to define strategic plans and scenarios internally and with partners.
* Contribute to strategic discussions within the team and with the Project Leader.
* Act as a backup for the Project Leader when necessary.
* Monitor and analyze project critical paths, timelines, budgets, and actions to ensure project goals are met.
* Innovate beyond existing methodologies to resolve complex problems critical to achieving objectives.
* Ensure delivery within the area of responsibility, collaborating with other organizational parts.
* Identify and resolve discrepancies in priorities, plans, and activities, bringing analytical thinking to cross-functional issues.
* Manage project communication, including setting agendas, facilitating meetings, developing minutes, and distributing information appropriately.
* Facilitate team dynamics in coordination with the Project Leader (System Coach).
* Report and present project plans, risk management activities, and budget updates to decision-making bodies.
* Develop and forecast the project budget, including long-term planning (annual, 5-year, and beyond).
* Lead the process of securing public funding for the project.
* Coordinate due diligence with potential partners and oversee BD&L development plans.
* Mentor and advise Project Managers and Project Manager Associates.
* Manage alliance activities from candidate to phase II and collaborate with the Corporate Alliance manager from phase III onwards.
* Participate in activities within the R&D Project, Portfolio, Partnership Excellence Department as needed.
* Contribute to the R&D Portfolio Review exercises and maintain benchmarking data for R&D productivity.

Education
* Bachelor’s or Ph.D. degree in biomedicine or related scientific fields.
* Certification in Project Management (completed or in progress).
