Context And Mission
The Barcelona Supercomputing Center (BSC) is seeking a BSC AI Factory Project Marketing and Communication Coordinator to join the Project Dissemination Unit within the framework of the BSC AI Factory (BSC AIF) initiative.
The BSC AIF is a major European project aimed at accelerating the adoption and development of artificial intelligence across industry sectors. It deploys a comprehensive set of AI-focused services, including training, networking, and innovation support structures. Its mission is to foster the uptake and effective use of AI (particularly among SMEs and startups across participating countries) and to strengthen the European innovation ecosystem. These services are powered by the AI-specific partition of the MareNostrum 5 supercomputer, one of the most advanced computing infrastructures in Europe, designed to meet evolving AI needs by harnessing the latest AI-oriented technologies.
The Project Marketing and Communication Coordinator leads marketing and communication activities for key research, innovation, and industrial projects within the BSC AI Factory initiative. This role is responsible for defining and updating the BSC AI Factory marketing and communication strategy, overseeing WP8 budget, coordinating internal and external contributors, and ensuring that all BSC AI Factory outputs meet quality standards and project objectives. The position serves as the central point of contact for partners, stakeholders, BSC AI Factory customers and the BSC AI Factory’s marketing and communication team.
Key Duties
* Define and update regularly the BSC AI Factory Marketing and Communication Strategy aligned with BSC AI Factory objectives, milestones, and stakeholder expectations
* Conduct and update stakeholder mapping, target analysis, and positioning activities for BSC AI Factory outputs
* Ensure the strategy complies with EU, industry, or BSC institutional requirements, when necessary, and guarantee compliance with EU branding guidelines, data policies and communication rules
* Coordinate and lead WP8-related deliverables and contribute to EC periodic reports
* Oversee, plan, and manage the communication and marketing budget, ensure efficient allocation of resources and manage suppliers, and external agencies
* Provide guidelines to partners and internal contributors to ensure alignment with BSC AI Factory Marketing goals facilitating internal collaboration
* Coordinate the BSC AI Factory’s marketing and communication team assigning priorities, manage timelines and monitor progress, as well as supervise BSC AI Factory materials, if necessary
* Provide strategic insights and improvement recommendations to partners by acting as liaison between project partners, technical teams, and the AI Factory’s central communication and marketing team
* Track KPIs, campaign impacts and maintain WP8 records for audits and EC reviews
Requirements
* Education
o Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communication, Event Management, Business Administration, or a related field
o Master’s degree in Marketing Management, Digital Communication, Innovation Management, or EU Project Management is considered an asset
* Essential Knowledge and Professional Experience
o 5 years of experience in a similar role related to marketing and communication, or communication, preferably within AI, innovation, or technology sectors
* Additional Knowledge and Professional Experience
o Full professional proficiency in English, both written and spoken
o Working knowledge of Spanish and Catalan, especially in written form, is desirable
* Competences
o Proven team management and coordination skills, including assigning priorities, guiding contributors, and ensuring effective collaboration within multidisciplinary teams
o Strong organisational and project management skills, with the ability to plan, prioritise, and deliver multiple workstreams simultaneously
o Proven ability to coordinate stakeholders and manage relationships across diverse, multidisciplinary project partner teams
o Proven capacity to manage multiple events, campaigns, and deadlines in a fast-paced project environment
o High attention to detail, ensuring consistency, accuracy, and quality in all communication outputs and event deliverables
o Strong analytical skills to evaluate marketing and communication performance, campaign impact, and KPI achievement, translating data into actionable insights
o Proactive, collaborative, and solution-oriented mindset, with the ability to anticipate needs and resolve issues effectively
o Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English, Spanish and Catalan, with the ability to produce clear, engaging, and professional content for diverse audiences
Conditions
* The position will be located at BSC within the Management Department

* Duration: Open-ended contract due to technical and scientific activities linked to the project and budget duration
* Holidays: 22 days of holidays + 6 personal days + 24th and 31st of December per our collective agreement
* Salary: we offer a competitive salary commensurate with the qualifications and experience of the candidate and according to the cost of living in Barcelona
