Overview
Join Shipco IT as an Associate – Quality Analyst. As a Quality Analyst, you'll play a key role in ensuring the stability, accuracy, and performance of these systems. This role values methodical testing practices, cross-functional collaboration, and continuous improvement, with a focus on preventing defects and strengthening processes to deliver trustworthy software.
What You'll Do
Test Scope Definition & Stakeholder Collaboration: Work with business stakeholders to define testing scope aligned with requirements and product objectives.
Test Case Design & Prioritization: Design, develop, and execute comprehensive test cases from detailed specifications, prioritizing conditions that address product risks and critical features.
Comprehensive Testing Execution: Perform various levels of testing – system, functional, regression, non-functional, database, and API/microservices – to ensure quality across delivery.
Test Automation & Regression Suite Development: Develop and maintain automation scripts and regression suites to enhance efficiency and coverage where applicable.
Defect Management & Resolution Coordination: Identify, log, and track defects; prepare defect reports and coordinate resolution with development teams.
Cross-Team Collaboration & Documentation: Partner with product development and testing teams to ensure timely delivery and maintain clear documentation.
Adaptability & Continuous Learning: Stay current with QA tools, technologies, and practices and apply them to evolving needs.
What You'll Need
Bachelor's degree (or higher) in Computer Science or related field, with equivalent experience considered.
Minimum 3 years of proven experience as a Quality Analyst or similar, with expertise in manual testing and automation (experience with tools like TestIM, Selenium or similar to automate manual test cases).
Understanding of software QA methodologies, tools, and processes, with experience preparing clear test plans and test cases.
Familiarity with programming languages such as Java or JavaScript; good understanding of OOP concepts (beneficial).
Experience with version control systems (e.g., GitHub) and practical exposure to Agile/Scrum processes.
Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail in testing practices.
Excellent organizational, documentation, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate across cross-functional teams.
