Job Outline
The Commissioning Support Engineer will provide full documentation and administrative support to the Whitewater Group Commissioning Team across multiple water treatment and data‑centre projects. The role is focused on the preparation, control, organisation and continuous improvement of all commissioning‑related documents and workflows.
Key responsibilities include:
* Developing, formatting and maintaining commissioning documents including Sequences of Operation (SOOs), Level 2/3/4/5 test scripts, SAT documentation and other project‑specific commissioning deliverables.
* Ensuring all documentation meets Whitewater Group standards, is consistent across projects and is delivered within required timelines.
* Acting as the central point of control for project documentation: tracking required documents, version control, ensuring completeness and coordinating updates from the commissioning team.
* Supporting Commissioning Engineers by preparing document packages for each project stage and ensuring the correct documentation is available for internal teams and external stakeholders.
* Reviewing project information (P&IDs, IO lists, instrument lists, vendor documentation) to ensure alignment and accuracy across commissioning deliverables.
* Collaborating closely with the Commissioning Lead and wider commissioning team to update and refine documents as system designs evolve.
* Maintaining structured digital filing systems for all commissioning documentation and ensuring consistent document organisation across the company.
* Contributing to continuous improvement of documentation templates, standards and internal processes to support team efficiency.
Qualifications

* Degree or equivalent qualification in Electrical or Automation Engineering.
* Minimum five years’ experience in a similar role with design emphasis on the Data Centre, Industrial, Municipal and Pharma sectors an advantage.
* Excellent technical writing and communication skills.
* Fluent English speaker with strong speaking skills as the position will require presentations to clients.
* Strong project management skills.
* Experience working in a multi‑disciplinary team (process, electrical, automation engineering and commissioning).
* IT literate and proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook and MS Project).
* Proficiency in 2D/3D CAD and Revit is an advantage.
* Proficiency in Procore an advantage.
