Salesforce Developer with a strong focus on data importing, migration, and integration to join our team. This role will play a critical part in ensuring seamless data operations within our Salesforce ecosystem, enabling data-driven decision-making and operational efficiency.
Job Summary
The Salesforce Developer will be responsible for designing, developing, and implementing data import and migration solutions within Salesforce. This role requires a deep understanding of Salesforce’s CRM structure, expertise in Bulk API tools, and proficiency in scripting for data transformations. The ideal candidate will have strong integration experience and exceptional data analytical skills to support complex data workflows and ensure data integrity.
Key Responsibilities
* Data Import and Migration:
o Design and execute data migration strategies to move large datasets into Salesforce from legacy systems, third-party applications, or other sources.
o Develop reusable scripts and tools (e.g., using Python, Apex, or SQL) to automate data imports, transformations, and cleansing processes.
o Validate and ensure data integrity, accuracy, and consistency during migrations and imports.
* Leverage a deep understanding of Salesforce’s data model, including standard and custom objects, relationships, and field configurations, to support complex data operations.
* Configure and optimize Salesforce data structures to align with business requirements and data migration needs.
* Bulk API and Integration:
o Utilize Salesforce Bulk API and other integration tools (e.g., Data Loader, Workbench, or third-party ETL tools like MuleSoft or Informatica) to handle high-volume data operations efficiently.
o Build and maintain integrations between Salesforce and external systems, ensuring secure and reliable data exchange.
o Troubleshoot and resolve integration issues related to data flows and API performance.
* Data Analysis and Reporting:
o Perform data analysis to identify patterns, inconsistencies, or gaps in datasets, providing actionable insights to stakeholders.
o Develop custom reports and dashboards in Salesforce to monitor data quality and migration outcomes.
o Collaborate with business teams to translate data requirements into technical solutions.
* Scripting and Automation:
o Write and maintain scripts (e.g., in Python, Apex, or JavaScript) to automate data processing, transformation, and validation tasks.
o Create reusable code libraries for recurring data migration and import processes.
* Best Practices and Documentation:
o Follow Salesforce best practices for data management, security, and performance optimization.
o Document data migration processes, scripts, and integration workflows for future reference and team collaboration.
Qualifications
* Education and Experience:
o Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Data Science, or a related field.
o 3+ years of experience as a Salesforce Developer or in a similar role with a focus on data migration and integration.
o Proven track record of successfully executing large-scale data migrations into Salesforce.
* Technical Skills:
o Salesforce Expertise: Strong understanding of Salesforce CRM architecture, including objects (e.g., Accounts, Contacts, Opportunities), relationships, and data modeling.
o Bulk API and Tools: Proficiency with Salesforce Bulk API, Data Loader, Workbench, and ETL tools (e.g., MuleSoft, Informatica, or Talend).
o Integration Experience: Hands-on experience building integrations with REST/SOAP APIs, middleware, or connected apps.
o Scripting Proficiency: Advanced skills in scripting languages such as Python, Apex, or JavaScript for data manipulation and automation.
o Data Analytical Skills: Strong ability to analyze complex datasets, identify trends, and resolve data quality issues using tools like SQL, Excel, or Salesforce reporting.
o Familiarity with Salesforce Flow, Process Builder, or other automation tools is a plus.
* Certifications (Preferred):
o Salesforce Platform Developer I or II
o Salesforce Administrator
o Salesforce Data Architecture and Management Designer (or equivalent)
* Soft Skills:
o Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills with a keen attention to detail.
o Strong communication skills to collaborate with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
o Ability to manage multiple priorities and deliver projects on time in a fast-paced environment.
