Role Overview
An ambitious Senior Deception Engineer to expand Offensive Security and Deception Engineering capabilities.
You will design high-fidelity deception assets, honeypots, and breadcrumb systems that turn enterprise environments into proactive attacker traps.
This ensures that lateral movement and attacker behaviour generate high-signal detection events.
Skills & Experience
Technical Experience
* 6–7 years in Security Engineering or Offensive Security.
* 3+ years deploying honeypots or deception systems at scale.
Development & Systems
* Deep knowledge of Linux internals.
Network & Protocol Expertise
Experience building or modifying services across:
* HTTP / HTTPS
* SSH
* SMTP
* RPC
* Database protocols
* Containers
* Terraform
* Ansible
* Cloud infrastructure
Telemetry & Analysis
Experience analysing deception interactions using:
* ELK Stack
* OpenSearch
Responsibilities
* Build high-interaction deception systems and honeypots.
* Design production-grade deception environments resistant to fingerprinting.
* Convert attacker interactions into high-quality detection telemetry.
* Deploy deception scenarios for N-day and zero-day vulnerabilities.
* Collaborate with Threat Intelligence and Detection Engineering teams.
* Publish research on attacker behaviour and exploitation techniques.
