Category Manager Electronics
Join Sonova’s Global Operations team as a Category Manager for Electronics. In this strategic role, you’ll shape our strategy, drive sustainable growth, and ensure we stay ahead in a rapidly evolving market. If you are passionate about technology and inspired by innovation. Key Responsibilities
• Develop and execute category strategies for the electronics segments, aligned with company objectives
• Negotiate supplier contracts and quality agreements aligned with Company’s goals
• Support PCN process, coordinate with (engineering, quality, supply chain teams in managing product changes and sourcing impacts
• Deliver on planned objectives, e.g. savings and time to source
• Analyze market trends and supplier performance to identify opportunities and risks
• Manage supplier relationships and segmentation to drive innovation, quality, and sustainability
• Build and maintain strong relationships with key internal stakeholders
• Use tools like SAP, Excel, and data analysis platforms to support decision-making
Your Profile
• Bachelor’s degree preferred in engineering; MCIPS, MSc, or MBA is a plus
• 5+ years of procurement experience, with a strong focus on electronics and direct materials
• Proven track record in category management, strategic sourcing, and contract negotiation
• Strong analytical, communication, and stakeholder management skills
• Experience with cost modeling and supplier performance management
• Proficient in SAP, Excel, PowerPoint, and procurement analytics tools
• Fluent in English; additional languages are a plus
• Comfortable working in a fast-paced, cross-functional, and global environment
