The selected Project Engineer will have to carry out the following main tasks:
- Review or develop technical solutions in compliance with company standards and Project specifications.
- Participate to cost budget estimation, development of request for quotation and check
technical offer.
- Support risk assessment, clarify scope and provide technical input to ensure a safe and
reliable solution.
- Support the development of project schedules and manpower requirements.
- Provide support for or review the basic design and detailed design compliance with company rules and project specification.
- Support the procurement by identifying, pre-selecting and qualifying the suppliers and
subcontractors for the installation.
- When involved on Piping procurement activities: develops the project deliverables and the Material Requisitions with all related Attachments, the Technical Service Requisition for the subcontracting of Piping Engineer activities to external companies; carry out the technical alignment of the vendors offers developing the Technical Tabulation and the Technical Bid Evaluation....
- When involved on Piping coordination activities: manage the design activities of external companies to ensure the development within the times and costs foreseen by the Project; acquire project and contractual contents related to Piping systems and apparatus, and the applicable technical attachments; conducting site surveys or check the results of surveys when carried out by subcontractors; perform quality control ensuring that the piping system comply with all technical and safety regulations; support and supervise piping activities during construction and installation process.
What do you need to succeed?
- Minimum 5 years of experience as Piping Engineer gained in Engineering and Contracting Companies.
- Proficiency in mechanical design software such as AutoCAD and Pipeline Studio.
- Experience with piping construction techniques such as welding, excavation, and assembly.
- Knowledge of applicable international norms and regulations.
- Fluency in English spoken and written.
