Key Responsibilities:
* To respond proactively to internal & external customer enquiries for all Weir Minerals products including Pumps, Valves, Cyclones and any other type of equipment, as part of opportunities relating either equipment only, or fully integrated engineered solutions.
* Analyze project data, scrutinize Customer Request for Quotation (RFQ) documentation, check with internal specialists (process, electrical, mechanical, quality, legal, etc.) aspects of the RFQ, develop detailed technical and commercial proposals and produce cost estimates and calculations.
* Do basic plans and diagrams with the support of Design Dept., review of PIDs, lists of materials, technical specifications, data sheets, to be able to carry out the technical acquisition of equipment or services.
* Price request, negotiation with suppliers, Technical-Economic evaluation of offers in your area, review plans and documents as well as timely support for monitoring engineering or manufacturing in third-party workshops, assembly and commissioning.
* Develop project budgets, track project costs and proactively mitigate cost-related risks.
* Create and maintain cost databases and templates, in order to facilitate fast track cost estimations at the early stages of development of opportunities, as well as detailed costing functions once scopes of supply were fully defined.
* Propose corrective actions and quality improvement in the preparation, design and presentation of offers that increase the possibilities of awarding new services.

Job Knowledge / Education and Qualifications:
* Academic Background: Masters Degree in Industrial, Hydraulic, Mechanical, Civil Engineering or other related discipline.
* Significant experience working (5 years) within a manufacturing environment engineering (especially in rotating equipment), EPC’s construction management, or a related field.
* Experience with cost estimating software and tools (Excel proficiency and SAP hands-on proven experience)
* Experience on contract management within the context of project bidding and/or project execution
* Person used to working in a team, concerned about the quality of the documentation they generate. Organized and with the ability to plan to set priorities and work autonomously in your daily work life.
* Ability to deal with clients and consultants, produce high quality final value proposition, present technical solutions and defend them while being resilient in the face of frustration.
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact effectively with all levels of the organization.
