At K-LAGAN, we are seeking a mechanical product engineer for a Tier 1 automotive client located in the province of Barcelona!
Are you passionate about engineering and innovation? Join our team as a Product Engineer (PE) and play a key role in the design, development, and industrialization of cutting-edge mechanical products in the automotive sector.
Key Responsibilities
- Ensure the technical feasibility of the product during offer and development phases, in alignment with internal methodologies.
- Apply standardized solutions and Lessons Learned across all product development processes.
- Conduct design reviews under the guidance of the Design Master.
- Ensure timely delivery of prototypes and developments according to customer/FDS milestones.
- Participate in product and process FMEAs.
- Analyze test report results and define countermeasures with the Quality Design Engineer.
- Collaborate with manufacturing teams for effective product industrialization.
- Manage product modifications efficiently throughout development.
- Enhance product performance, quality, and cost through competitor benchmarking and technical innovation.
- Work closely with Purchasing and suppliers to optimize components for cost, quality, and manufacturability.
- Develop and ensure high-quality CAD (3D & 2D) designs.
- Propose technical Lessons Learned during the industrialization phase.
- Liaise directly with client engineering teams for successful product development.
Requirements
- University degree in Engineering or equivalent experience.
- Fluent in English and German (spoken and written).
- 2–3 years of experience in a similar role.
- Previous experience with mechanical products.
Note: Significant relevant experience may offset formal education requirements.
Preferred Qualifications
- Prior experience in the automotive industry.
- Knowledge of plastic parts design and manufacturing.
