The University of Hong Kong invites applications for a Tenure-Track Associate Professor/Assistant Professor of Biomedical Engineering in the Department of Mechanical Engineering (Ref.: ). The appointment is on a three-year fixed-term basis with the possibility of renewal and consideration for tenure before expiry of a second three-year fixed-term contract, commencing as soon as possible.

Responsibilities
* Conduct and lead high-quality research in Biomedical Engineering or related fields with a strong, evidenced research record.
* Engage in interdisciplinary and collaborative research across related areas such as biomaterials and regenerative medicine, cell niche engineering, neural engineering, mechanobiology, biophysics, bio-inspired or bio-mimicking devices and algorithms; and advanced technologies for bio-manufacturing, diagnostics and therapeutics.
* Deliver excellent teaching at undergraduate and postgraduate levels in relevant subjects.
* Engage in knowledge transfer activities and provide administrative service to the University/Faculty/Department.
Qualifications
* Ph.D. in Biomedical Engineering or a related engineering field with an excellent research record.
* Commitment to collaborative and interdisciplinary research.
* Strong potential for contributing to the Department’s strategic areas and to teaching and service missions.
