global Contract Development and Manufacturing Organisation (CDMO)
to appoint a
Business Development Director. This key commercial leadership role is responsible for driving strategic growth across the company’s pharmaceutical manufacturing and development services division, building long‑term partnerships with clients worldwide. The Business Development Director will play a pivotal role in expanding the company’s commercial footprint by identifying new business opportunities, developing strategic alliances, and overseeing key client relationships across both development and manufacturing services.
Key Responsibilities
Develop and execute the
global business development strategy
across pharmaceutical and consumer healthcare markets.
Identify, engage, and secure new clients for
pharmaceutical development, manufacturing, and packaging services .
Strengthen existing partnerships through proactive account management and long‑term relationship building.
Collaborate with Technical, Operations, and Project Management teams to ensure seamless proposal delivery and project execution.
Lead commercial negotiations, pricing strategies, and contract finalisation in alignment with corporate objectives.
Provide market insights and competitor intelligence to shape growth strategies and investment decisions.
Represent the organisation at global industry events, conferences, and trade shows.
Your Background
Proven track record in
business development or commercial leadership
within a
CDMO or pharmaceutical manufacturing organisation .
Strong understanding of
pharmaceutical development and/or contract manufacturing services .
Demonstrated success in
building and managing client relationships
at senior level.
Excellent negotiation, communication, and strategic thinking skills.
Degree in Life Sciences, Pharmacy, Business, or a related field; an advanced degree is advantageous.
Ability to travel internationally as required.
