We are looking for a proactive, self-motivated and enthusiastic "Business Development Manager" to join us. This position, based in Valencia, is an exciting opportunity to work with our sales team to achieve results and manage relationship with existing and future customers as well as coordination with internal Maersk Line requirements to reach targets as per agreed.

This position works closely with various internal (trade managers in the headquarters, customer service, operation department, global service center) and external stakeholders, on national basis, therefore offers wide range of knowledge, experience and is a perfect step to a successful career development.

• Execute commercial strategy, considering the Long Term/Short Term portfolio split, corridor/yield optimization, end-to-end and other VAS opportunities; in close cooperation with CEN Trade, Revenue Management and local Commercial Planning teams.

• Increase Customer Experience and build loyalty overtime by providing excellent standards of service with care attitude.


• Strong drives to develop business pipeline, including managing given portfolio, volume forecasting, building new customers and opportunities 'generation.

• Ensure Customer Relationship Management tools ) to be updated, reflecting all times high quality data.

• Develop customer value propositions for all appropriate business opportunities. Sales to distinguish market presence by effectively probing and identifying needs to add value to customers´ business.

• Understand of all service offerings to be able to offer & develop integrated logistics solutions.

• Be informed about industry trends as well as about competition environment, providing feedback to colleagues and actively collaborate with pricing and product strategies.


• Customer acquisition - Focus in the penetration of our brand by developing a professional sales pitch based on our product differentiators in order to expand and create new business opportunity.

* We are looking for a Sales professional with a good experience, and very good understanding of multimodal and distribution business model.
* Prior working experience in relevant departments in the Industry is a plus.
* Strong negotiator with hunter mindset who understands procurement tactics and has a very good interpersonal skill to keep the good relationship.
* Able to handle multiple vertical and horizontal stakeholders, with multicultural backgrounds, internal and external stakeholders. Prior international working experience is a plus.
