We’re working with an emerging climate-tech venture developing advanced hardware systems, robotics platforms and sensor technologies that support large-scale environmental restoration. Drones, autonomous systems, mechatronics, precision hardware - all used for real-world ecological impact.

What you’ll be working on
You’ll take ownership and lead the team across designing and developing next-gen electromechanical systems used across robotics, UAVs and environmental sensing platforms.
You’ll be involved in:
* Designing electromechanical assemblies, sensor payloads, mechanisms and power systems
* Building prototypes, testing, iterating and validating performance
* Working closely with firmware, software, mechanical and systems engineers
* Running reliability, safety, thermal and mechanical tests
* Selecting components, managing suppliers, and optimising for manufacturability
* Producing CAD, drawings, BOMs, test plans and documentation
* Contributing to design reviews, risk assessments and engineering standards
* Leading or mentoring junior engineers within the team
This is a genuinely hands-on engineering role where you see the direct impact of what you build.
What we’re looking forYou’ll thrive there if you have
* 5–8+ years in hardware development / mechatronic systems
* 2-3 years of Team Leading/Lead / Engineering Management/Leadership.
* Strong CAD (SolidWorks/Creo/etc.)
* Good understanding of motors, actuators, control systems and power electronics
* Experience in prototyping, testing and refining designs
* Familiarity with manufacturing processes (machining, moulding, fabrication, PCB assembly)
* Ability to run mechanical, thermal, vibration or reliability tests
* Solid engineering fundamentals and ability to troubleshoot complex systems
* Robotics, drones, or autonomous systems
* Simulation/FEA
* Experience taking hardware from prototype to scalable production
* Python, MATLAB, Simulink
* Supplier management or cost optimisation experience
