Mission
As a Sales Engineer, your primary mission within the Business Development Division will be to support customers through the advanced sales opportunity cycle – from technical discussion to deal negotiation and closure. You will also be responsible for following up until the successful launch of the customer’s mission, ensuring customer satisfaction throughout the process.
Responsibilities
As a Sales & Customer team member your main responsibilities within the area will be to:
* Report to the Sales & Customers Manager.
* Support the Sales & Customers department in the commercialization of the MIURA family of launchers services.
* Lead contract negotiations and ensure alignment with company policies and objectives.
* Contribute to sales forecasting, budgeting, and revenue tracking.
* Manage customer relationships to identify needs and align with the company9;s capabilities and services.
* Represent customer interests internally, ensuring their needs are reflected in the product and service development.
* Draft and deliver high-quality proposals for launch services.
* Collaborate with internal departments (Engineering, Project Management, System Engineering, Mission Analysis, Structures, GNC, etc.) to ensure seamless service delivery.
* Organize, attend, and follow up on customer visits and meetings.
* Represent the company at relevant industry events (fairs, congresses, workshops) and conduct follow-ups as needed.
* Utilize company tools (e.g., CRM, databases) in line with data quality standards.
* Develop and maintain Sales & Customers department documentation (e.g., procedures, templates, user guides, ICDs).
* Contribute to the development and upkeep of sales and marketing materials (e.g., brochures, sales presentations, commercial decks).
* Conduct market intelligence activities, including monitoring and researching global markets, customers, competitors, and trends.
* Provide support to other Business Development areas and company teams when necessary.
* Contribute to achieving the team9;s KPIs and OKRs through active participation in all relevant activities and tasks.
Necessary Requirements
For this position of Senior Sales Engineerr, the main requirements are:
Experience and background:
* Up to 3 years of relevant experience
* Experience in the Space sector.
* Proven track record of achieving or exceeding sales targets.
* Experience in B2B sales and Business Development.
* Established professional network in the space sector.
* Experience working within an international and multicultural environment.
* Knowledge and experience in launcher and commercial launcher activities.
* Experience in customer management and relationship building.
* Experience in contract drafting and negotiation.
Technical and language skills:
* Technical background in Satellites and payloads accommodations on launchers.
* Fluent in English.
* Conversational in Spanish.
* Proficiency in CRM tools.
* High-level proficiency in Microsoft Office 365.
