THE DIFFERENCE YOU MAKE As a Global Vendor Manager you will lead strategic sourcing activities for IT at a global level, managing the end-to-end vendor lifecycle.
\n
You will oversee supplier performance, risk and compliance, and contract governance, ensuring alignment with business, financial, and regulatory requirements.
\n
The role includes identifying optimization and consolidation opportunities, driving complex sourcing and negotiation initiatives, and developing market-informed strategies to generate efficiencies and long-term value for the organization.

To succeed in this role, you will be responsible for: Lead general IT sourcing processes focused on efficiency, value, and strategic alignment.
\n
Develop and maintain the global sourcing strategy for IT requirements in alignment with overall business objectives.
\n
Identify synergies across countries or business units to achieve economies of scale and increased negotiation leverage.
\n
Recommend IT hiring and renewal strategies aligned with Santander ´s needs, with a special focus on achieving savings for the Group and keeping entities in compliance with contractual obligations and internal guidelines.
\n
Segment suppliers and services to identify opportunities for standardization, consolidation, or specialization.
\n
Negotiate contractual and commercial terms, including pricing, SLAs, response times, and penalty/review mechanisms.
\n
Evaluate supplier proposals from both a technical and financial perspective, in collaboration with internal stakeholders.
\n
Identify and document the best practices related to processes, procedures, and policies for their application throughout the group.
\n
Assess and manage supplier-related risks (financial, operational, regulatory, cybersecurity, concentration risk), ensuring mitigation plans are in place for critical vendors.
\n
Developing global relationships with key suppliers Monitor supplier performance using KPIs, satisfaction surveys, and performance dashboards.
\n
Participate in internal committees or governance bodies to track critical suppliers and support category decision-making.
\n

Professional Experience At least or years of experience in a procurement, vendor management department or Sourcing in and IT environment will be highly valued.

Education Degree in computer science, engineering, math, business administration, economics or similar.
\n
Languages Fluent English and Spanish, strong oral and written communication skills Portuguese will be a plus Hard Skills Planning, Organization and Project Management Knowledge of strategic sourcing methodology and negotiation techniques Business case and market analysis Experience in supplier-facing roles, as well as customer experience (highly desirable) including exposure to different countries / cultures and cross-functional teams.
