In this role, you will work closely with Amazon's Middle Mile transportation businesses to build strategic initiatives and frameworks that support carrier partners in meeting legal and contractual obligations related to business practices, driver/provider eligibility, and safety standards. You will apply risk and control concepts to new and existing business models, communicate findings to senior leadership, and partner with cross-functional teams to design workflows supporting risk reduction. You will set program objectives, define success metrics, and drive business changes to reduce risk. The role requires independent team members, high-level strategic thinking, analytical problem solving, and comfort with ambiguity and diverse problems.
This position will be based at one of Amazon's corporate HQs and requires periodic travel.

A day in the life
The Sr. Risk & Compliance Manager will collaborate with stakeholders across safety, legal, finance, tech, and HR to implement customer-centric compliance and risk management solutions. The individual will lead auditors, support carriers in identifying improvements, develop corrective action plans, and oversee remediation efforts.

Transportation Risk and Compliance (TRC) is the voice of risk and compliance for Amazon's transportation operations across 16 regions. We identify and manage risks, ensure compliance with transportation, legislative, regulatory, and contractual standards, and improve safety and enable growth through expertise, processes, and technology.
Basic qualifications
* Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office applications
* Experience in compliance, audit, or risk management
* Bachelor's degree or equivalent
Preferred qualifications
* Project Management Professional (PMP) or similar certification
* Experience with technology, lean principles, or Six Sigma methodologies
* Master's degree or equivalent
