Networks, Specialized Installations, Integrated Projects, and Concession Assets. The ACEREZ partnership of ACCIONA, COBRA, and Endeavour Energy has been appointed as the preferred network operator by EnergyCo for the Central-West Orana Renewable Energy Zone (REZ) transmission line project. The ACCIONA COBRA Joint Venture (ACJV) is responsible for design and construction.The project involves constructing high-capacity transmission lines, energy hubs, and infrastructure to transfer solar and wind energy to consumers. Expected to be operational by 2028, it will initially unlock up to 4.5 GW of capacity.Location
The project site is in Merotherie, with work based on a 14/7 roster staying in a camp. Buses will be available for transport from Sydney and regional NSW centers.About the Role
We are seeking a dedicated Senior Civil Project Engineer to join our Substation team on the Central-West Orana project. You will coordinate engineering activities, including technical work, inspections, scheduling, procurement, and quality control, supporting the Project and Construction Managers to ensure safety, schedule, and budget compliance.Lead subcontractors, ensuring quality workmanship and adherence to standardsAddress defects, record non-conformances, and initiate corrective actionsEnsure compliance with HSE policies, assess risks, and address safety and environmental issuesSupport planning, design, and resource management for effective project deliveryManage documentation, conduct team meetings, and communicate with stakeholdersCoordinate resource allocation, foster teamwork, and meet contract requirementsControl costs, monitor budgets, and manage subcontractor agreementsMaintain positive client relationships to facilitate project deliveryRequired Skills and Competencies
At least 6+ years of infrastructure engineering experience, preferably electricalMinimum 3 years in a Senior Project Engineer roleBachelor’s degree in Civil EngineeringStrong problem-solving and analytical skillsLeadership abilitiesKnowledge of HS&E requirementsExperience in project cost controlExcellent communication skills, verbal and writtenProficiency in MS Office and budgeting/planning softwareWe welcome applicants of all backgrounds, identities, and experiences.
