- *Mission**The IT Global Category Manager leads the strategic sourcing and category management of Almirall's integral IT spend portfolio - covering software, cloud, hardware, telecoms, and IT professional services.

This role is responsible for driving value creation, innovation, and risk mitigation across all IT categories, ensuring operational excellence and digital enablement through effective supplier partnerships, robust contract governance, and close collaboration with business and functional leaders across the organisation.
\n
- *Tasks & Responsibilities**## *Category Strategy & Sourcing** Own and execute a multi-year global IT category strategy across software (SaaS/cloud/on-premise), hardware, infrastructure, telecoms, and IT services.
- Lead competitive sourcing events (RFx), complex negotiations, and contract structuring, underpinned by market intelligence, spend analysis, and TCO modelling.
- Manage a ~€40M annual IT spend portfolio, delivering savings targets and broader value contributions including cost avoidance, risk reduction, and innovation.

## *Supplier & Risk Management** Build and govern strategic supplier partnerships across systems integration, software, cloud, and life sciences technology platforms, including SRM frameworks, KPI reviews, and continuous improvement.

- Proactively manage supplier risk covering financial stability, cybersecurity posture, GDPR compliance, and geopolitical exposure.
\n
## *Stakeholder & Business Partnering** Act as the primary IT procurement partner for the CIO, R&D;, and Industrial/Operations leadership, aligning sourcing with the technology roadmap and the needs of scientific and manufacturing environments.

- Partner with Finance, Legal, InfoSec, and Data Privacy teams to ensure contracts meet regulatory and internal standards.
- Challenge demand and shape requirements early to drive best-value outcomes.

## *Digital, AI & Process Excellence** Drive adoption of digital procurement tools and champion AI and advanced analytics for sourcing decisions, contract analysis, spend transparency, and demand forecasting.

- Actively support continuous improvement in Source-to-Pay processes and embrace Almirall's broader procurement transformation, including automation and responsible AI adoption## *Sustainable Sourcing** Embed sustainability into IT procurement decisions - including circular economy principles, supplier diversity, and alignment with Almirall's ESG commitments.
- *Experience*** +5 years in IT procurement, with direct category management responsibility; pharma or large multinational experience strongly preferred.
- Proven track record of delivering savings, value creation, and supplier performance improvements in IT categories.
- Experience across major IT supplier categories: global systems integrators, enterprise software and cloud providers, and life sciences-specific technology platforms.
- Proficiency with Source-to-Pay platforms, contract lifecycle management tools, procurement analytics, and emerging AI-powered procurement solutions.
- *Education*** Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Business, Information Systems, or a related field; a Master's degree or procurement certification (CIPS, CPSM) is a plus.
- Full professional proficiency in English required; additional European languages, particularly Spanish and German, are advantageous.
- *Skills & Competencies*** Deep IT procurement expertise across category management, strategic sourcing, and supplier management - with strong knowledge of software licensing, SaaS, cloud, and IT services commercial models.
