ResponsibilitiesUnderwrite large new and renewal accounts to meet top and bottom-line targetsWork with an existing and support growth of a Conventional & Green Energy Operational Power Generation portfolioGrow a profitable construction of Green Energy Power Generation portfolio, supporting clients with their Energy TransitionNegotiate participation, pricing and terms and conditions with brokers.
Proactively manage capacityUnderwrite in line with LoB governance framework - e.g. Underwriting Authorities, global MSU, Underwriting Guidelines, Rules and PrinciplesEnsure contract certainty is achieved on all accounts at time of inceptionContribute to development and execution of global Underwriting strategy for LoB regionallyTrain, develop and coach less experienced staff (including Underwriters)Positively represent Allianz Commercial externally to the market with key brokers / distribution channelsProactively drive involvement of functional areas in Underwriting processDevelop and maintain strong relationships with key brokers and clients and other relevant stakeholdersWhat You'll Bring To The RolePreferably a degree in Economics, Engineering, or other appropriate disciplineSignificant experience in Underwriting profitable business in the Natural Resources or Engineering market.
Specialized expert understanding of Conventional & Green Energy Operational Power Generation and construction of Green Energy power generationRecognized relationships with brokers at peer group level and well established within marketSpecialized understanding of regional / local LoB insurance markets and competitor landscape, including general elementGood understanding of legal and regulatory frameworkAbility to assess risk inherent exposures and natural hazards relevant to LoBDesign, develop and implement consistent, robust wordingsAbility to analyze highly complex data, from multiple sources, in detail; identify and resolve issues before they transpireAbility to persuade and motivate others to act, without executive authorityFluent English and SpanishExperience in applying AI and ML to improve business processes and decision-making is highly beneficialWhat's in it for you?
