Lead Engineer for Green Field Projects
The Lead Engineer for Green Field projects is responsible for:
* Lead the technical execution of Green Field projects within the designated department.
* Support tendering activities for Green Field projects, ensuring accurate and competitive technical proposals.
* Act as the main technical reference during project lifecycle, from design to commissioning.
* Optimize Green Field solutions by integrating different Schneider Electric technologies.
Responsibilities
* Ensure compliance with technical requirements for Green Field projects.
* Propose technical optimizations to customers to improve competitiveness and efficiency.
* Manage and track technical scope changes throughout project execution.
* Monitor project timelines and adapt technical deliverables to meet customer requirements.
* Reuse engineering designs and lessons learned from previous projects to enhance competitiveness.
* Participate in kick‑off meetings and key technical milestones.
* Maintain knowledge of market trends and competitor solutions in Green Field projects.
* Act as Technical Leader on selected projects: responsible for hardware and software design, technical compliance, and shared responsibility for project margins and change orders.
* Validate technical proposals and ensure alignment with internal processes and methods.
* Ability to travel for customer meetings and critical project phases (e.g., FAT, commissioning).
Experience & Skills
* At least 5 years executing automation projects (preferably Green Field).
* Strong experience in technical leadership and project coordination.
* Knowledge of Schneider Electric technologies and automation systems.
* Fluent in English (written and spoken).
* Ability to bridge functional and technical aspects with a deep understanding of both.
* Strong prioritization skills and customer orientation.
* Solid technical expertise: able to understand overall solution design, read/write code, and guide technical decisions.
