Overview
The AI Factory is a large-scale initiative led by the Barcelona Supercomputing Center – Centro Nacional de Supercomputación (BSC-CNS), designed to position Europe at the forefront of global AI development, and deployment. This large-scale strategic initiative is designed to establish European global leadership in artificial intelligence development, and deployment. Powered by MareNostrum 5's next-generation supercomputing capabilities, including its dedicated AI-optimized partition, this transformative program will accelerate AI innovation across Europe's most critical economic sectors while strengthening the continent's technological sovereignty.
With a multi-stakeholder approach, the AI Factory aims to lower the barriers to AI innovation by offering access to state-of-the-art AI computing infrastructure, advanced training programs, and a dynamic innovation ecosystem. The initiative supports start-ups, SMEs, corporates, academia, and public institutions, providing tailored support to boost AI capabilities and promote responsible and impactful AI adoption.
This project will play a key role in advancing the technological autonomy of Europe by fostering an inclusive, distributed AI innovation environment with hubs across participating states, and by promoting AI applications in critical sectors such as healthcare, public administration, climate, biotech, energy, communication and finance and legal services.
Description
The Barcelona Supercomputing Center leads the AI Factory initiative and is opening several positions for AI Project Development within the AI Factory framework. For this 3-year initiative, we are looking for professionals that will drive the development of next-generation AI solutions.

Funded under contribution 33.50.46PR.740.54 from the Secretary of State for Digitalization and Artificial Intelligence (SEDIA) to the Barcelona Supercomputing Center – Centro Nacional de Supercomputación (BSC-CNS), for the implementation of actions related to the strengthening of supercomputing capacities, the development of the National Language Technologies Plan, and the development of the business ecosystem of language technologies within the framework of the 2024 Artificial Intelligence Strategy and the Recovery, Transformation and Resilience Plan – Funded by the European Union – NextGenerationEU.
