ROLE SUMMARY
Kings College Murcia is seeking a passionate dynamic and creative Whole School Music Teacher to join our vibrant community from January 2026. This exciting role offers the opportunity to inspire students across all age groups fostering a lifelong appreciation of music while contributing to the school's rich performing arts culture.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
* Plan and deliver engaging high‑quality music lessons across primary and secondary phases.
* Develop students musical skills through practical theoretical and performance‑based learning.
* Lead and support extracurricular music activities including choirs, ensembles, concerts and school productions.
* Create a positive inclusive and stimulating environment that encourages participation and confidence in music.
* Assess and track student progress providing constructive feedback and maintaining accurate records.
* Collaborate with colleagues to enrich the school's performing arts provision and contribute to whole‑school events.
* Manage resources effectively ensuring the music department is well‑equipped and organised.
THE IDEAL CANDIDATE WILL HAVE
* A recognised teaching qualification (e.g. PGCE, QTS or equivalent).
* Strong musical expertise with the ability to teach across different age groups and abilities.
* Experience in leading musical ensembles or performances (school‑based or external).
* Excellent instrumental or vocal skills and confidence in directing groups.
* A creative and energetic approach to engaging students in music.
* Strong communication and organisational skills with a collaborative mindset.
* A commitment to fostering a vibrant and inclusive musical culture within the school community.
