NN Digital Hub is a subsidiary company of Nationale Nederlanden Group located in Madrid, Spain. We deliver IT services and solutions for the different international Business Units from Nationale Nederlanden Group. We are seeking an Oxygen Engineering Manager to lead the Oxygen platform, a global insurance core system, where we create, deliver and maintain insurance product management solutions as service propositions to enable any agent (linked or direct), machine or company to create and sell insurance products in Europe in an automated, real-time way.
Your impact at NN
As an Engineering Manager, you deliver high-quality, reliable, and secure digital products to our Business Units. Your role balances IT operations and development / change management, builds platforms and services, ensures product development and operations practices with a big focus on standardization and reusability. You will focus on building Digital products / platforms using newest technologies and delivering solutions partnering with suppliers and motivating a team of senior engineers. Your strong technical background and understanding of business processes enable you to align IT strategies with business objectives effectively. Your deep understanding of business processes will enable you to align IT needs with business objectives, ensuring the delivery of valuable and secure digital products.
Key Responsibilities
* Leadership and Development:
Lead the technical platform developments and evolution, and the IT professionals, fostering a culture of ownership and delivery, help team members achieve their goals.
* Product Development and Improvement:
Implement foundational IT practices to ensure high availability and reliability of products and services. Continuously transform teams to a future-ready software product delivery organization.
* Quality and Delivery:
Support teams in planning and delivering complex features, integrations, and reliability topics. Ensure high-quality software delivery with a strong connection to stakeholders and business value.
* Resource Planning:
Maintain oversight of projects and services, conduct gap analysis and capacity planning to support the different initiatives. Ensure teams have the required qualifications and resources.
* Budget Management:
Manage the budget for the tech platform and tooling. Ensure team members have the necessary resources for their roles.
* Operational Excellence:
Lead blameless postmortems and implement improvements in the way of working. Ensure good IT operations and security practices are in place, aligned with business objectives and value chains.

Who You Are
You are an IT professional passionate about technology, up to date with current trends and new technologies to drive innovation and improve and adapt the current way of working to gain efficiency. With experience in development, integrations, IT management, and / or IT operations roles, ideally within the financial services sector, you excel at building digital products / platforms using the newest technologies and delivering solutions partnering with suppliers and motivating a team of senior engineers. Your strong technical background and understanding of business processes enable you to align IT strategies with business objectives effectively.
* Degree in computer science, computer engineering or a related field
* Management / Leadership skills - strong focus on planning, business presentations, building technology evolution roadmaps, platform upgrades / migrations, agile - at least 5 years.
* Strong knowledge of IT methodologies, tools and processes
* Hands-on experience (10 years) with IT technologies, enterprise architecture, cloud solutions (CI / CD pipelines, deploy as code, systems, networking, debugging, observability), APIs, data integrations, quality assurance
* Experience working in an Agile / Scrum process (also in Project management)
* Advanced knowledge in DevOps
* Communication skills
* Ability to see the big picture while maintaining attention to detail
* Problem solving and analytical skills
