Mission
Define and lead Santander’s global automotive financing products and platforms, shaping the future of automotive finance through innovative, customer‑centric solutions, seamless partner integration, and scalable platforms that drive growth, efficiency, and competitive advantage across all markets.
Key Responsibilities
- Product Strategy & Proposition Ownership
- Define and own the global automotive financing product strategy across lending, leasing, and wholesale funding.
- Balance customer needs, partner requirements, and risk constraints to create competitive and scalable products.
- Identify and drive innovation in new mobility financing models (e.g. EV financing, flexible ownership, Autonomous Mobility).
- Ensure clear alignment between product strategy, commercial objectives, and risk appetite.
- Support the evolution of Santander’s financing propositions, including pricing models, product structures, and eligibility frameworks.
- Financing Products & Customer Experience
- Own the end‑to‑end financing experience within acquisition and lifecycle journeys (from simulation to contract activation).
- Ensure financing products are simple, transparent, and frictionless for both customers and partners.
- Define integral standards for offer presentation, simulations, and financing journeys across channels.
- Partner closely with Acquisition & Renewals to ensure financing is seamlessly embedded into distribution journeys.
- Embed responsible lending principles and ensure transparency in customer offerings.
- Credit Decisioning & Pricing
- Define global frameworks for credit decisioning, affordability, and risk integration.
- Enable real‑time decisioning capabilities to support instant financing experiences.
- Balance growth, risk, and profitability through data‑driven decisioning strategies.
- Support pricing, offer strategy, and commercial optimisation.
- Platform Ownership
- Own and evolve core financing platforms (LOS, Leasing, Wholesale Funding) as enablers of product strategy, not ends in themselves.
- Ensure platforms support modular product configuration, scalability, and multi‑market deployment.
- Drive platform simplification and rationalisation to reduce complexity and improve speed to market.
- AI‑Enabled Decisioning & Credit Intelligence
- Embed AI into credit decisioning, affordability assessment, and risk models, enabling real‑time, data‑driven approvals across channels.
- Build AI‑powered simulation and structuring tools to optimise leasing and loan configurations.
- Ensure AI models are transparent, explainable, and compliant with regulatory requirements across markets.
- Global Product Leadership
- Define global product standards and reusable capabilities across markets.
- Balance global scalability with local regulatory and market adaptations.
- Partner with regional product leads to ensure adoption and performance.
- Cross‑functional Collaboration
- Partner with product, technology, design, and data teams both locally and globally to ensure efficient integration and scalability of services.
- Work with global and market leadership to identify opportunities to leverage capabilities across markets in order to drive growth and efficiency.
What We’re Looking For
- Strong experience in lending/leasing platforms or fintech infrastructure.
- Deep understanding of credit, underwriting, and financial products.
- Experience managing complex, multi‑market platforms.
