The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring the accuracy, integrity, and timely preparation of financial records, as well as supporting internal and external reporting requirements. This role plays a key part in maintaining strong accounting controls and providing reliable financial information to management.Key ResponsibilitiesFinancial Accounting & ReportingPrepare and maintain accurate financial records in accordance with accounting standards (IFRS/UK GAAP).Manage month-end and year-end closing processes, including accruals, journals, and reconciliations.Prepare monthly financial statements, management reports, and variance analysis.Maintain and reconcile general ledger accounts, ensuring accuracy and completeness.Accounts Payable / Accounts Receivable OversightReview AP/AR postings, ensuring accuracy, correct coding, and compliance with internal controls.Monitor aged receivables and payables, preparing reports for management.Cash & Treasury ManagementPrepare bank reconciliations and monitor cash flow movements.Assist with cash-flow forecasting and liquidity management.Compliance & AuditEnsure compliance with internal policies and procedures.Support external audits, providing requested documentation and explanations.Ensure proper filing, documentation, and record-keeping for all accounting matters.Process ImprovementIdentify areas for improvement in accounting processes and tools.Support implementation of process automation and internal controls enhancements.Cross-Department CollaborationWork closely with operations and other departments to ensure accurate information flow.Assist in ad-hoc financial projects and analysis as required by management.RequirementsBachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.3–4+ years of experience in accounting or audit (industry or Big4).Strong understanding of accounting principles and financial reporting (IFRS/UK GAAP).Proficiency with accounting software (e.g., SAP, Odoo, Navision, QuickBooks, or similar).Excellent Excel skills and strong analytical abilities.High attention to detail, accuracy, and structure.Strong organizational and communication skills.Ability to work independently and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.Preferred Experience (Nice to Have)Experience in real estate, hospitality, or investment fund structures, including Gibraltar regulatory frameworks.Audit background (Big4 or mid-tier).Knowledge of consolidations, intercompany transactions, and multi-entity accounting.What We OfferA dynamic, collaborative, and growth-oriented environment.Career plan.Opportunities for professional development and increased responsibilities.Competitive compensation and benefits package.Exposure to a broad range of finance activities and strategic projects.
