Cloud Infrastructure Engineer
My client is a leader in disruptive video content delivery technology (MultiCDN) solutions used by streaming and broadcasting organizations worldwide. They are expanding their team and seeking a Cloud Infrastructure Engineer with expertise in software and systems engineering to build and operate large-scale, distributed systems. This key role involves working remotely from anywhere within 2-3 hours of CET, with flexibility in start times, aligning with the team’s 9am WET start.

What you will find in this position:
We seek a hands-on Cloud Infrastructure Engineer to help scale and secure AWS-based infrastructure, support engineering efforts by building reliable systems, enhance observability with Grafana, and implement security best practices. Ideal candidates have some professional cloud experience and a passion for learning and ownership.
Responsibilities:
* Improve service monitoring automation to detect issues proactively.
* Design and maintain reliable cloud architecture with minimal downtime.
* Implement security policies for engineering services.
* Investigate and resolve infrastructure, code, configuration, and data issues.
* Document and share knowledge within the team.
* Stay updated on the latest DevOps tools and strategies.
What we expect from you:
* Experience with AWS cloud environments.
* Proficiency with Infrastructure-as-Code tools, preferably Terraform.
* Experience with large-scale production systems.
* Knowledge of monitoring, logging, and observability tools such as Prometheus and Grafana.
* Experience with container orchestration (Kubernetes).
* Support security best practices, including IAM, secrets management, and VPCs.
* Participation in incident response and postmortems (on-call experience).
* Familiarity with source control systems like Git or GitLab.
* Ability to work within Agile methodologies (Scrum/Kanban).
* Strong troubleshooting skills.
* Team-oriented and proactive in workflow improvements.
* Open to challenges.
While the position is fully remote with flexible hours, some synchronization with team members is necessary, typically between 09:00 and 13:00 WET.
Nice to have:
* Experience with serverless architectures on AWS.
* Knowledge of open-source databases or message brokers (Postgres, Redis, RabbitMQ, Kafka).
* Experience with performance or security testing.
* Familiarity with container technologies like ECS, EKS, Docker.
* Contributions to security or observability initiatives.
* Knowledge of CI/CD tools.
* Experience in collaborative DevOps or SRE cultures.
Candidates are not expected to have expertise in all areas; a strong interest and capabilities in a few are sufficient.
