Barcelona (Hybrid – 1–2 days onsite)
We are looking for a DevOps / Platform Engineer to join a Cloud Business Unit currently evolving its DevOps platforms to support the organization’s transition to public cloud as the primary application hosting environment .
In this role, you will contribute to the development and reliability of the GitHub Enterprise Server platform and the SDLC backbone, helping to improve automation, CI/CD capabilities, governance, and developer experience across the organization.
You will work in an Agile environment following SRE practices, collaborating with cross-functional teams to build scalable, reliable, and secure development platforms.
What you will do
* Design and maintain infrastructure automation and platform capabilities
* Develop automation, integrations, and enterprise features for the GitHub Enterprise Server platform
* Support and evolve the organization’s SDLC backbone
* Implement automation processes aligned with Site Reliability Engineering (SRE) principles
* Improve CI/CD pipelines, ensuring code quality and security before deployment
* Contribute to platform reliability, governance, and compliance
* Collaborate with development and infrastructure teams to enhance developer tooling and practices
* Mentor and support engineers as the platform ecosystem grows
What we are looking for
* 5+ years of experience in DevOps, platform engineering, or software engineering within enterprise environments
* Strong experience with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) for infrastructure provisioning and automation
* Experience designing and operating CI/CD pipelines
* Experience working in cloud environments
* Experience applying Site Reliability Engineering (SRE) practices, including incident management and reliability xsgfvud
* Experience working with enterprise development platforms and SDLC tooling
* Scripting skills for automation
* Experience working in Agile environments (Scrum or SAFe)
* Ability to mentor and support other engineers
Nice to have
* Experience with GitHub Enterprise Server
* Experience in hybrid cloud environments
* Knowledge of monitoring and alerting systems
* Experience working with enterprise governance or compliance requirements
* Experience with documentation and collaboration tools for knowledge and backlog management
