Job Description :
An Investment Associate provides critical financial analysis for Cintra, primarily through building and optimizing financial models to assess project performance and investment opportunities. The role involves supporting business development and portfolio management activities across Europe and New Markets. Responsibilities include structuring analyses, communicating findings, and making investment recommendations.
Responsibilities :
1. Build and develop financial models tailored to each project's operational, commercial, and financial specifics.
2. Analyze new investment opportunities, determine optimal financial structures, and develop financing strategies.
3. Interpret complex financial data for project bids, transactions, and M&A activities.
4. Present financial analyses and recommendations to senior management, ensuring alignment with investment goals.
5. Prepare detailed documentation and presentations for investment approval processes.
6. Create Project Information Memoranda for lenders, investors, and rating agencies.
7. Collaborate with project management teams and external advisors to support project development.
8. Conduct sensitivity analyses and develop scenarios to test financial robustness under various conditions.
9. Review procurement and financial documents, ensuring compliance with project requirements.
10. Participate in bid and project reviews, including pro forma preparations.
11. Manage multiple projects at different stages, maintaining organizational efficiency.
12. Collaborate with team members and other departments, fostering a learning environment.
13. Perform additional duties as required.
Qualifications (Knowledge, Skills & Abilities) :
Ideal candidates will demonstrate strong financial modeling skills, experience (preferably 8+ years), and bilingual proficiency in English and Spanish (C2). A CFA designation is preferred. Essential skills include managing tight deadlines, effective communication, decision-making, project management, and multitasking in a dynamic setting. Computer proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint is required.
