What We're Looking For
We are looking for an experienced Embedded Software Responsible with a strong background in space systems. The ideal candidate will lead and manage a team of software engineers while driving the complete embedded software lifecycle, from conception and specification to deployment and validation, ensuring high performance, reliability, and compliance with space standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and manage a team of software engineers, providing technical guidance, mentorship, and support.
- Drive the embedded software development process, including planning, design, implementation, testing, validation, and deployment.
- Apply systems engineering best practices, especially during conception, specification, and design phases.
- Design, implement, and optimize embedded software solutions for microprocessor-based systems running Linux environments, including PetaLinux.
- Contribute to MBSE activities using tools such as Capella and Enterprise Architect.
- Ensure proper software version management, quality validation processes, and production of technical documentation.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to address complex technical systems related to GNSS-based solutions, RF interference detection, and geolocation.
Requirements
- Minimum 5 years of professional experience, preferably in the space sector.
- Proven experience leading and managing software engineering teams.
- Strong expertise in C and C++ programming for embedded systems.
- Experience with Linux-based embedded environments, especially PetaLinux.
- Proficiency in Python programming.
- Experience with MBSE and modeling tools such as Capella and Enterprise Architect.
- Solid knowledge of systems engineering practices applied to space programs.
- Experience with software version management tools and quality validation processes.
- Familiarity with ESA ECSS standards or similar space standards.
- Understanding of GNSS systems, GNSS signals and performance, RF interferences detection, and geolocation concepts (GNSS, WiFi, cellular, RF).
- Ability to analyse and solve complex technical problems and produce clear technical documentation.
- Professional fluency in English, both written and spoken.
Desirable
- Experience with DO-178C normative.
- Experience with MATLAB.
- Experience with requirement management tools such as DOORS and tracking tools such as JIRA.
