Verisure has a big footprint in Cloud, both in AWS and Azure for with core pieces of the IoT backend and business systems. This role will maintain constant communication with the Core Cloud team to ensure alignment with decisions made there and other areas in IT Ops, managing and functional leading the operational tasks performed by Windows and Linux teams and will provide visibility and access to key stakeholders within Technology and, transversally, across functions/ countries. Critical and strategic, the role is fundamental to Verisure by ensuring the delivery of our Technology ambitions, from landing zones and interconnection to drive the required upskill and transformation in development teams.ResponsibilitiesProject Planning and implementationProvide expert guidance on cloud solution implementation and best practices. Collaborate with stakeholders to understand project goals and specific requirements related to cloud solutions.Collaborate in designing of cloud solutions leveraging expertise in AWS and Azure architectures, with readiness to incorporate other hyperscalers in the future.Develop and maintain detailed project plans including outlining timelines, resource requirements, and budgets and ensure project execution aligns with defined requirements, adjusting scope as necessary.Identify, assess and proactively manage potential risks and scope changes.Establish, implement, and ensure compliance with cloud governance and security policies.Communication, collaboration and resource management:
Ensure clear, consistent and proactive communication with all stakeholders.Facilitate regular status meetings to maintain alignment and transparency on project status.Monitor, allocate and optimise the use of resources to ensure project efficiency.Evaluation and Documentation:
Conduct periodic assessments of project performance, identifying any deviations and risks.Capture and document lessons learned and best practices to inform and improve future initiatives.Cloud landing zone and enablersCollaborate with Platform Tech Leads to define the target architecture for global cloud landing zones and interconnectivity.Promote automation and scalability while addressing regional operational requirements.Cloud governance, solutions and expertiseReview and improve existing cloud governance processes, both internal and external with hyperscalers, managing those procedures with the global architecture team.Provide expert knowledge and support to senior leadership on high-impact cloud initiatives, including new cloud technologies, issues resolution and cost optimisation for large-scale projects.Partner with network architects to support enterprise-wide transformation program. TransformationChampion DevOps culture and drive continuous improvement in cloud methodologies and practices across IT Ops and DevOps teams.Mentoring and guiding the cloud IT operations team members.Experiences and QualificationsUniversity degree, preferably in Computer Engineering, Telecommunications, or other related disciplines.Minimum of 3 years of experience in a similar position or in technology-related system engineering fields (Databases, Communications, Operating Systems, Cloud and Automations).Fluent in English and Spanish.At least one cloud architect certification;
Professional Cloud Engineer, AWS Certified or Azure Solutions Expert.Strong knowledge of project management methodologies such as Scrum, Agile or Waterfall.Familiarity with event-driven architectures and microservices is a plus.CompetenciesSelf-motivation, autonomy, and leadershipEmpathy, assertiveness, and strong interpersonal skills to enable effective collaboration.Stakeholder management from the technical expertise angle.
