BOLD develops advanced battery systems for motorsport, defense, and high‐performance mobility. As Director of Technology, you will lead the engineering division responsible for delivering customer programs on time, at scale, and to the highest technical standards.
Your mission: deliver breakthrough battery systems safely, fast, and at scale.
Key Responsibilities
Leadership & Development of Engineering Teams : Provide direct leadership to the Mechanical, Electrical, and Systems teams to execute on customer and internal products; guide and develop team members; maintain a culture of ownership, excellence and customer obsession.
Product Development : Drive integration of R&D efforts for internal product development, ensuring alignment with BOLD's mission to pioneer innovative technologies.
Project Execution : Serve as the primary technical liaison to customers and key stakeholders; execute multiple projects concurrently, ensuring they are completed on time, within scope, and on budget.
Work closely with Supply Chain to ensure new product developments are scalable and operations are equipped to manufacture at the required scale.
Battery Safety & Testing : Stay at the forefront of industry trends and emerging technologies, ensuring BOLD products are safe, reliable and meet all necessary certification standards.
Foster a culture of continuous improvement and innovation, encouraging experimentation and the exploration of new ideas.
Requirements
Minimum of 15 years of experience in senior or leadership roles within motorsport, defense, or highly innovative sectors, with significant exposure to battery technologies.
Proven track record of successfully bringing new high‐performance products from concept to market, aligning with BOLD's vision and mission.
Ability to travel.
Experience and competence with design software such as 3Dx or NX.
Willingness to work long hours and occasional weekends when necessary to support critical project milestones.
Leadership skills and proactive attitude in a high‐pressure environment.
Maintain an up‐to‐date technical awareness of the business requirements.
Fluent in English.
Skills
Highly technical expertise in engineering and manufacturing, able to quickly grasp issues and lead the team to solutions.
Deep expertise in battery technology and engineering fundamentals around structures, manufacturing, and high‐voltage control systems and electronics.
Ability to overcome technical or project challenges in ambitious settings with limited information.
Self‐driven with a high sense of ownership and ability to organise and prioritise tasks with minimal feedback from leadership.
