Reporting to the Director of External Communications, you’ll play a pivotal role in shaping how Preply shows up to the world as an employer. You’ll be the strategic bridge between our company narrative and the talent market, ensuring that what we say externally reflects who we truly are internally. Not just creating content, but building a cohesive employer story that connects executive voice, brand positioning, and long‑term reputation.
About the role
We’re looking for an experienced External Employer Branding Manager to shape and elevate how we show up to the world as an employer. This is a brand‑first role. You will own our external employer narrative, craft strategic storytelling across channels, and build the foundations that position us as a top‑tier destination for talent globally. This is not a hiring operations or recruitment performance role. Instead, you will focus on narrative, executive voice, content excellence, and long‑term brand presence — ensuring that everything we communicate externally reflects who we are and where we’re going.
What you’ll own
Employer Brand Narrative & Positioning
* Define and evolve our external employer brand narrative, aligned with the broader company brand and strategy.
* Shape our storytelling approach and ensure consistency across all external touchpoints.
* Partner with executive leadership to craft and amplify their voice externally.
Strategic Storytelling & Content Creation
* Lead the creation of high‑impact employer brand content across formats: video, written, social, long‑form, presentations.
* Ensure excellence in tone, messaging, and visual quality.
* Develop flagship content initiatives that strengthen credibility in priority talent markets.
Brand Systems & Enablement
* Build scalable templates, messaging frameworks, and toolkits that Talent Acquisition can leverage.
* Set clear brand standards and guardrails for employer‑facing materials.
* Act as the quality gatekeeper for external employer brand expression.
External Presence & Reputation Building
* Elevate visibility across relevant platforms and communities.
* Identify strategic opportunities to strengthen employer perception.
* Ensure alignment between corporate brand and employer brand storytelling.
What this role does not own
* This role does not own hiring engine performance, recruitment funnels, event execution, employee advocacy program operations, pipeline growth, or channel performance metrics.
* You will collaborate closely with the Hiring Engine / Talent Acquisition lead, who owns hiring outcomes and recruitment strategy. Your role is to ensure those initiatives are rooted in a strong, differentiated, and consistent brand narrative.
What we’re looking for
* 8+ years of experience in employer branding, external communications.
* Strong narrative and strategic storytelling capabilities.
* Experience shaping executive voice and thought leadership.
* High standards for content quality and brand consistency.
* Ability to build scalable frameworks and enable cross‑functional teams.
* Experience collaborating with Brand, Marketing, and Talent teams and across the org for specific initiatives.
* Advanced English level (C2) required.
