The Cyber Defense SecDevOps Engineer is a member of the Siemens Cyber Defense Center, whose primary mission is to
**defend Siemens against cyber security threats worldwide.**
You will help design and implement technical solutions with state-of-the-art tools capable of handling large volumes of data where scalability, consistency, security and maintainability are key.

**What will be your main responsibilities?**
- Automate and manage on-prem and cloud environments;
- Ensure reliable and performant environments, via appropriate monitoring and logging;
- Design and implement CI/CD automation pipelines;
- Embed security into the continuous integration and delivery pipelines;
- Build tools to improve internal processes, automations and integrations;
- Research, propose and conduct PoC’s of integration/automation technologies and
- methodologies;
- Contribute to the integration and improvement of security best practices;
- Analyse complex systems and recommend improvements;
- Participate in monitoring-driven Incident and Problem Management processes;
- Work with international teams taking end-to-end responsibilities in requirements analysis, system design, development, integration, deployment and maintenance;
- Contribute to knowledge creation and sharing.
**What do you need to qualify for this job?**
- Experience with Configuration Management, Infrastructure as Code, and Code Versioning tools (e.g. Puppet, Ansible, Terraform, Git, Ansible, etc.).
- .Experience with CI/CD (e.g. Gitlab pipelines, code quality and SAST tools, pipeline-driven deployments, etc).
- Demonstrable scripting experience with Python and Bash.
- Experience with Linux shell environments and general Linux troubleshooting.
- General understanding of system architectures is expected.
- Excellent analytical, troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
- You are expected to be proactive, autonomous, communicative and a team-player.
- Experience writing structured technical documentation.
- Willingness to build up and share your technical knowledge.
- Ability to communicate clearly and effectively with peers, partners, and customers.
- Fluent in spoken and written English
**Knowledge / experience in the following is a plus**:
- Background in information security.
- Familiarity with cloud platforms and concepts.
- Knowledge in non-relational databases (e.g., Elasticsearch, TSDB’s).
- Experience working with RDBMS (PostgreSQL, etc).
- Experience developing code to consume or publish data over REST API’s.
