Responsibilities:
Provide technical leadership in the design, configuration, and deployment of SR-MPLS and EVPN technologies.
Ensure the integration of the new SR-MPLS and EVPN networks with Client’s existing MPLS/LDP infrastructure, maintaining network performance, scalability, and reliability.
Lead the creation of detailed network designs, focusing on Segment Routing, MPLS, and Ethernet VPN technologies.
Oversee the testing and validation of SR-MPLS and EVPN networks in a controlled lab environment, ensuring performance meets objectives.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless network transition and minimal disruption during the integration process.
Main tasks:
SR-MPLS Transport Plane Design
Design the transport plane for the new IPMM network, ensuring scalability, redundancy, and integration for future needs.
Plan and design SIDs and SRGB, including Traffic Engineering policies for BE/TE LSPs.
Design and plan for fault tolerance and redundancy within the SR-MPLS network.
Integration of SR-MPLS with Existing Network
Design inter-AS integration strategies for SR-MPLS and legacy MPLS/LDP networks.
Develop plans for seamless data flow and routing between new and legacy network systems.
Implement integration strategies to minimize network disruptions during transition.
SR-MPLS Configuration, Deployment, and Testing
Configure the SR-MPLS transport plane, set up LSPs, and ensure full integration in a controlled lab environment.
Test the SR-MPLS network for performance and reliability.
Validate design, configuration, and deployment against performance and operational goals.
EVPN Service Plane Design
Design EVPN service architecture for Layer 2 and Layer 3 connectivity.
Implement VPWS and VPLS for Ethernet services and design L3VPN for Layer 3 services.
Enable service differentiation within EVPN based on customer requirements.
Integration of EVPN with Existing VPN Infrastructure
Design integration plans for MP-BGP and EVPN, ensuring smooth transition from legacy VPN services to EVPN.
Develop policies for minimizing disruptions during the integration process.
EVPN Configuration, Deployment, and Testing
Configure L3VPN, VPWS, and VPLS services for EVPN.
Validate service functionality through comprehensive testing.
Document configuration and testing procedures, ensuring full transparency and understanding of processes.
Other requirements:
Technical Skills:
Strong expertise in Segment Routing (SR-MPLS), including design and deployment of SR-MPLS transport planes, Traffic Engineering policies, and integration with MPLS/LDP networks
Deep understanding of EVPN (Ethernet Virtual Private Networks), with a focus on L3VPN, VPWS, and VPLS for Layer 2 and Layer 3 services.
Proven experience in designing and deploying MPLS and Ethernet VPN solutions.
Solid knowledge of MP-BGP for EVPN integration.
Hands-on experience in configuring, deploying, and testing large-scale SR-MPLS and EVPN networks in lab and production environments.
Project Management:
Ability to lead the end-to-end process of network design, deployment, and integration.
Experience managing cross-functional teams and collaborating with other technical and operational groups.
Familiarity with creating and executing integration plans with minimal disruption.
Problem Solving & Analysis:
Strong troubleshooting and performance analysis skills, especially in network routing and VPN technologies.
Capacity to develop and validate design solutions against specific network performance and reliability goals.
Communication & Documentation:
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Ability to document network designs, configurations, testing results, and procedures clearly and thoroughly.
Experience providing technical support and training to internal teams.
Experience & Qualifications:
At least 5 years of experience working with MPLS, Segment Routing, and EVPN technologies.
Experience with large-scale network projects and understanding of IP/MME network infrastructure.
Relevant certifications (e.g., CCNP, CCIE in Routing and Switching or Service Provider) would be a plus.
