Responsibilities
Execute field service activities according to work plans.
Perform overhauls and repairs on‑site or in workshops.
Professionally engage with customers throughout service delivery.
Provide internal and external updates on job progress.
Create detailed Service Work Reports.
Ensure all work complies with Wärtsilä QEHS guidelines and site procedures.
Report on work order status to customers and internal teams.
Continuously seek smarter, safer, and more efficient solutions.
Qualifications and Experience
A safety‑first mindset and a collaborative spirit.
A degree in Marine or Mechanical Engineering—or equivalent maritime experience.
Hands‑on technical experience in marine engineering and problem‑solving.
Proven expertise in installation, operation, maintenance, and repair.
Strong communication skills—both written and verbal.
Experience with propulsion shaft alignment and Stern Tube Bearings is a plus.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
Fluency in English; additional languages are a bonus.
Willingness to travel extensively (approximately 80 %).
